Disaster Reporting System (APADA) – Code for Resilience (CfR) Program– Sri Lanka

The system based on GeoDjango web framework and Iconic mobile framework with several dependencies necessary for the communication with Geospatial servers and develop charts & reports. On the left side is the list of entities of the web application and on right side is list of entities of the mobile app. Both applications use the same postgraySQL database. In the proposed system component architecture has provisions for the existing Geo Spatial Data systems integration.

The CfR system addressed the issue of the existing communication system to communicate with general public to report disaster pre, present and post incidents. As well as, needs to have a system for authorities to verify reported incident of disasters. The developed system consists of web and mobile application to report incidents, crowd source mobile applications to capture pre-disaster information and authorities to verify the reported incidents. System also has a web GIS integrated component for analyzing, display and manipulating reports, charts and maps.
